i just felt like it was time for change...
| I'm going to be honest. The male gender is a disgusting one. Let me explain.
When I was dorming at Pacific Union College, the men were gathered in 3 dorms on one side of the school and the women in 4 dorms on the other side. Being a man, emphasis on the word man, I was forced to live with these foul creatures. I suppose everything was pretty normal for any guy (i.e. messy rooms), but there was always one thing I could not stand. What is this you may ask? I'll give you one guess.
Give up? I'll give you a clue. It's the one room in a house that I hate the most.
It's the bathroom.
If you've never stepped foot into Pacific Union College's Newton hall bathroom or shower, thank whatever deity you believe in for sparing you the horrible experience. Let's just go through some things I've witnessed in the men's bathrooms and showers.
Countless times, I've witnessed guys not washing their hands after they urinate. And twice have I seen them not wash their hands after pooping (deficate?). Now that is f'ing disgusting. Seriously. The urinals always have a nice crust of dried urine at the base of them, some decide to puke in the toilets and not flush, leave feces on the toilet seat, leave soiled toilet paper in the heating vents, etc. As for the showers, they always smell like it's one big urinal. The school does a the worst job of cleaning also. There are also countless times where there was no toilet paper, no soap, the drains in the showers clogged not taken care of for weeks...
God damn it, sometimes I hate being a dude, unless girls are just as disgusting. Then I just hate being human.
And Sonia, if you're reading this, I had no idea about the toilet!!! I cleaned it up right??? :)
Anyways. I just thought I'd write about this because two of my friends slept over last night. I won't name names but I'm pretty sure that the people who know me well will know who I'm talking about. My room smells like someone took a huge dump in a gym bag filled with dirty, sweat soaked, week old socks, a night full of farting and snoring, and the dreaded urine crust at the base of the toilet on the floor of the bathroom. Never again will I have another sleep over. And the future wives of these fine gentlemen... good luck. That is all I can say.
Now time to take care of the damage these two freaks created. Damn I hate cleaning the bathroom. I should hire a maid... jeez...

a good lesson yet to be learned.
| Recently, Sharon Stone credited the earthquakes in China to karma. What an idiot. She basically said that the bad karma was due to China's mistreatment of Tibet. So let's analyze this.
China's mistreatment of Tibet: I'm pretty sure the power of the government in China is similarly structured to America's where the common people don't control or make major decisions, such as foreign, or in the case of China, provincial policies. (Tibet is considered a province of China? Correct me if I am wrong). So basically, according to Sharon Stone, the tens of thousands of people and probably hundreds of thousands of people that were affected by the earthquake are to blame for the actions their government took over the Tibetans. Of course that makes sense! How did I not realize this before?? That the general people, a large number of which were children, who have no control over what actions were taken are to blame. Silly me. (If you can't sense my sarcasm....)
What have I learned from her comments? I have learned that people like Sharon Stone need to think a little bit more before they speak. (Probably a good lesson for me as well). Oh, and Sharon Stone, if you ever read this entry, which you probably never will, let me put something into perspective for you. I guess 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, the tornados currently ravishing the midwest are all due to bad karma. Maybe it stems back from the Vietnam War? Gulf War? Iraq war? Failed foreign and domestic policies? I'll let you take your pick Sharon Stone. Leave it to a washed up, blonde actress... stupid females. (hahaha sorry, that was insensitive. But funny no?)
| So the summer finally decided to show up. The past two mornings, I would be hanging out at the house waiting for school to start and the temperature would go up ten degrees every hour or so from 8am until it would read high 90's. It was about 98 degrees yesterday and it's 97 right now. Anyways.
I'm guessing that the spring's laziness finally overtook me. The first few weeks of the quarter, I was on top of things. Now, I just want to sit and do nothing. So I'm going to use this weekend to get into gear and finish the quarter strong.
Something that's been bothering me lately is that I am incredibly lazy. Every paper I write, I usually write the day before it is due. Actually, all my papers that I turn in are written the day before they are due. However, I always seem to pull off an A-. Either my teachers are very lenient in their grading or I'm just a talented writer. I like to believe in the latter. But the point I'm trying to make is that all I have to do is make the effort. For example, I should write the paper a week in advance and edit it a few times. Then I should be able to get an A for sure. I wonder when I became as lazy as I am and what I need to do to get my motor running. What a sad life I lead.
Yesterday, I was discussing with Kirin about living an ordinary life. I personally don't have a problem with that. I mean, as long as I'm financially secure and reasonably happy then I believe I'll have no problems with the world. Is that so wrong? I don't have this urge to cure cancer or save the world. I just want to live my life peacefully with little stress. Selfish? Lazy? Uninspired? All of the above? Sometimes I wonder...
